Visiting University Students' Section
Just decided to add this section. I figured with all the students and potential students needing the same information, I would set up an area catering specifically to the needs of the non-national student moving and living here while attending school. Should have something up well before the next term starts (1/22/05)...
Should have lots of information on the following categories...

Housing - This is always the worst part of going to school in a far off place. I am going to try and get an on-line directory of available housing from the university and local rentors.

Transportation - you can rent a car long term or purchase one. Most students end up buying a car from another student and it's quite interesting to see all the 'student vehicles' that have been recycled down through the ranks for years. I'll have a list of available cars here for purchase and/or rental.

Where to buy things - Rather than have you wandering around looking for the basic needs, I will add a list of the different places that are best to buy everything from housewares, groceries, school supplies, etc. Hopefully you won't end up buying a $25 can opener as I did way back when :)

Party Places - you can always follow ther crowd and most students travel in a crowd when it comes to partying. I'll show a number of places that are popular with the student crowd at the present, just so you can have a look around when you first arrive.

The Different Schools - There are at least three small medical schools here as well as Ross Veternarian University and they are currently building a new Nursing College. I will pop up a bunch of pics and maps and such and links to the respective schools' websites once I find them.

Safety - Regardless of where you go to school, there are always some things you can do to help stay safe and out of trouble. I'll give you a short list of things to do and not do to help ensure a safe and enjoyable stay in St. Kitts.
