My St. Kitts Photo Albums
As it seems I always have my camera in my hand, the result is a rather large accumulation of photos of many things 'Kittitian'. Of course these sit on stacks of CDs, waiting to be sorted and picked over. Some have been doing so for over two years! Yikes!

I figured now that I have this site to display them on, it would be a good excuse to sort through them and so I shall I promise. Here are some from the recent holiday to get you started...

HASH - Pump Bay - Oct 23, 2005

Here are some pics I took in Pump Bay during a Hash House Harriers meeting. The HASHes are a gathering of 'Drinkers with a running problem' as their slogan goes. They meet every third week for a walk/run over some remote part of St. Kitts you would probably never see otherwise. This is a great afternoon excursion for people of all ages. If you happen to be in St. Kitts during one, you really should try to attend. You can usually find out when the next one is down at the Shiggidy Shack in Frigate Bay.




J'ouvert / Road March - 2004

Rather than partake in the revelry this year, I decided to get some pics. I joined the Extreme Colours Troupe around 3:00am and they were going strong. At about 4:30am, it was announced that it was time to hit the road. They partied their way into town and had the third largest gathering from my estimates. These pics are taken at the starting point, enroute and from ther porch of the Palms All-Suite Hotel on the Circus.




Christmas Eve - 2004

Just a few shots of Basseterre I took on Christmas Eve for my daughter (she is always wanting proof of no winter). I had been telling her that you might not notice it was xmas down here, but they had decorated town quite nicely in the week before xmas and I was very pleased with the festive atmosphere, even if it was more Carnival than 'Xmas-sy'.
