South Frigate Bay Beach
This beach is fairly long with both ends being developed a bit, but not much going on in the middle. The north end closest to town is best known as the location of Dolce Cabana and Inon's Beach Bar. This area is a popular place on a Friday nite. In the daytime, you can enjoy this great strip of beach which is lacking all the beach vendors of South Friars. You can grab a beach chair, a cold drink and enjoy one of the better beaches for swimming.

The other end of this beach is home to the Shiggidy Shack, Monkey Bar and Timothy Beach Resort and Sunset Cafe. The beach came back thanks to Hurricane Ivan and this beach is rapidly becoming the tourist favorite as of December 2004. Mr. X's Shiggidy Shack has great food & cold drinks. You can also rent small water craft (sea-doos, kayaks, etc.) as well as snorkeling gear at Mr. X's Watersports next door. There is great snorkeling within fifty feet or so. This is a favorite watering hole of the Frigate Bay residents and there is usually a decent crowd there on Thursday (beach bonfire/live entertainment) and Saturday nights (karaoke). The Monkey Bar is very nearby and is a great casual restaurant right on the sand and is a nice place to watch the sunset.
