If you are into fitness and a rigorous hike, this is your baby. While it is quite challenging, it is not dangerous and requires absolutely no experience. Just bring some sneakers, some water and I always take a couple t-shirts as it is quite cool at the top amongst the clouds, and your first one will be soaked completely through, regardless of your fitness level.

It is definitely not something one would do alone, but if you can find the path at the bottom of the mountain, you can simply follow the path to the top. There are at least a couple of tour operators that do this tour. They will point out the different flora and fauna along the way. If you have a camera, you will want to take it, because the inside of the volcano is not what one would expect and its a rare photo op to stand on the lip of a volcano. But make sure it has a strap as you will need two hands for the hike in many places.
